Tamara de Lempica is one of the most famous artists of the Art Deco period.(1898-1980) She was born in Poland and moved to Russia where she lived untill the Bolshevicks arrested her husband during the Russian Revolution.She secured his release and they fled to Paris.There she enrolled at the Academie de la Grand Chaumiere and studying privately.She was quite a prolific artist(in part fascilitated by her spare styleThis pencil drawing has been authenticated as an original by her daughter Kizzette de Lempica Foxhall. The certificate is included with the purchase of this piece.It has been framed with an ebonized walnut frame and conservation matting.She is exhibited in the most important museums and collections worldwide.
