8,475.00

This stunning and dramatic Art Deco armoire features a gently bowed base wrapped in black lacquer that connects to the volumetric rectangular body via a black lacquer support of the same form. The doors of the armoire are realized in beautiful brown walnut, while the sides are finished in black lacquer. A raised pendant finished in 24-karat white giltwood sits the centre of the doors depicting a kneeling nude female figure holding an urn decorated with stylized star embellishments. The pendant is circumscribed with a raised circular striated border with banding details on the sides and a stylized acanthus detailing at the top. It features skyscraper style decorative detailing at the top, featuring a second tier finished in black lacquer. Inspired by the iconic and timeless designs of Émile Jacques Ruhlmann, this armoire represents a first-rate example of the Art Deco revival movement, sure to delight anyone with a sophisticated eye and an appreciation of this glamorous and refined aesthetic. With its clean modernist lines and impeccable attention to detail, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic deco to contemporary. Mint restored condition.
