About

This refined set of eight Art Deco Gondola back dining chairs were realized in France, circa 1935, in the manner of Èmile-Jacques Ruhlmann. They feature gondola backs with cross slats that elegantly slope downwards, where they connect to the apron as well as scroll detailing on the back- all realized in hand rubbed walnut with new velvet upholstery in a beautiful smoked brown topaz. The hind legs are saber style while the front are straight with tapered points. With their clean lines and exceptional craftsmanship, these chairs embody French Art Deco design at its best. They are as aesthetically compelling as they are versatile, blending seamlessly with any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. Mint restored condition.
