This exquisite “Palma” chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It consists of five tiers of handblown translucent Murano glass in the form of stylized palm leaves suspended from a polished chrome frame. The fixture offers a faceted orbital glass finial adorned with faceted cross hatched detailing. With its monochromatic palate, clean lines, and classically inspired design, this spectacular chandelier would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary, and even traditional. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates 12 Edison based bulbs providing up to 1200 watts of light.
