This dramatic and graphic Sputnik was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features a wealth of brushed brass rods emanating from circular body of the same material. The centers of the discs are embedded with 24 karat yellow gold flecks imbuing them with a rich organic texture and subtle dynamism, while the perimeters are translucent. This iconic chandelier- made in the same manner for more than fifty years- is as modern looking today as ever before. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition.
