About

This stunning dining/center table was realized by the fabled American designer, Vladimir Kagan and handcrafted in the United States, circa 1976. It offers a circular burled olive ash top with two inlaid offset rectangular polished brass inserts, which offer a brilliant metallic counterpoint to the organic woodgrain throughout. The piece sits on two rectangular brass legs that are staggered echoing the form of the rectangular brass inserts on top. Translucent Lucite legs intersect the brass legs at right angles, apparently cutting through them. Tom Ford once opined that Vladimir Kagan's design retain their "wow factor", their "potency and flair" as much today as ever before. This table is a stunning testament to that fact. With its clean liens and iconic form, which is unmistakably that of Kagan, this dining/center table would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. The table comes with a single 23.5" leaf as well as the original receipt from "Vladimir Kagan Designs" from 1976. Mint restored condition.
