This refined Mid-Century Modern fireplace tool was realized in the United States, circa 1960. The set includes stand, shovel, brush, tongs and poker created in lustrous polished chrome with abstracted hour glass form handles in the same material. The stand offers a hexagonal base topped with a circular domed tier and a hexagonal tier with forked indentations for holding the tools, pierced through the center with a cylindrical chrome rod fitted with the same hourglass form chrome hardware that appears on the handles of each piece. This is not only an incredibly utilitarian fireplace tool set, but an excellent example of clean contemporary design. They would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. Excellent vintage condition.
