About

This handsome Art Deco floor lamp was realized in the United States, circa 1935. It features a streamlined and banded neck that culminates in a ball embellishment from which a swiveling dome shaped chrome shade support descends. The shade itself is made of mica that presents a stunning, stone-like texture. A portion of the cylindrical rod is sheathed in an amber hued piece of bakelite. The base is skyscraper style composed of alternating tiers of chrome and black enamel. This piece includes all of the iconic materials employed in Machine Age Art Deco design in America. Since it is complete and all original, it represents a great find for any avid collector of the period. It is as timeless as it is aesthetically compelling, representing a winning addition to any style of decor from classic deco to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition.
