About

This stunning pair of neoclassical torchieres were realized in the United States, circa 1950, in the manner of Tommi Parzinger. Parzinger- one of the most celebrated Mid Century designers- was renowned for combining American simplicity with smart cosmopolitan detailing. With their classically inspired details- urn form shades and a square greek key detailed collar on conically shaped necks- these torchieres embody that design ethos in the most elegant manner imaginable. The entire body of the piece, including the circular stands, have been executed in lustrous polished nickel. With their timeless designs- recalling motifs from Greek antiquity- and modern materials, these floor lamps/ torchieres would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition.
