French Art Deco Hand Blown Lilac & Frosted Glass Chandelier Signed by Degue

3,975.00

This elegant Art Deco chandelier was hand blown by the celebrated lighting studio Degué in France, circa 1925. Equally stunning from all angles, the chandelier features a conical shape resembling a pitched mushroom cap with tear drop forms in textured dark violet resembling a cloudy night sky. Etched clusters of mushrooms occupy the interstices between these tear drop forms. The fixture attaches to the ceiling via a chrome chain and canopy. Representing a beautiful example of early Art Deco design with its artistic and timeless artisanal detailing, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of the period. Its austere form and straightforward color palate make it as versatile as it as aesthetically appealing blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Art Deco to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit.
