This stunning modernist flush mount was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- during the latter half of the 20th century. Executed in the manner of the fabled atelier of Barovier e Toso, this fixture offers a convex domed body composed of a spiderweb pattern of vertically striated and ribbed translucent Murano glass. The shade is secured via a spherical translucent glass finial with clear Murines and nickel fittings. With its monochromatic palate and clean modernist lines, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically pleasing, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition.
