This graphic and sophisticated modernist flush mount chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features a half spherical canopy that supports an explosion of rods- all in brushed brass. Some of these rods pierce through orbital forms, while others culminate in stylized barrel form shades in opaque white handblown Murano glass with brushed brass centers and cylindrical finials. With its ebullient form- full of verve and Elan- and sophisticated color palate, this piece is as versatile as it is stunning, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The chandelier accommodates 15 candelabra based bulbs offering up to 900 watts of light.
