Mid-Century Modern Handblown Murano Glass and Brass "Flower" Pendant by Mazzega
This lovely Murano glass pendant was handblown by the renowned maker Mazzega in Murano, Italy- the fabled Venetian island renowned for centuries for some of the finest glass production in the world, circa 1960. It features gently textured glass in a form resembling an abstracted tulip. The mottled glass shade connects to a brass support with a decorative brass ring affixed to it. The fixture attaches to a brass canopy via brass wire. This pendant is as versatile as it is aesthetically appealing, blending perfectly with virtually any style of decor from quintessentially mid century modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit.
