Art Deco Gilded Bronze and Carrara Marble Console Table with Baroque Detailing

4,475.00

This sophisticated Art Deco console table was realized in the United States, circa 1935. Realized in the manner of Edgar Brandt, it features a demilune form Carrara marble top with a subtle grisaille palette and variegated grain. It is supported by four curved rectangular supports that culminate at the base in cloven supports topped with acanthus detailing. Gargoyle forms protrude from the apex of these rectangular slats, while the band undergirding the top offers a wealth of baroque details- including foliate and floral motifs, as well as a central urn form- all in gilded bronze. With its impeccable construction and old world elegance, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. Excellent vintage condition. There is also a matching mirror available.
