About

This stunning and elegant pair of console tables were realized by the illustrious maker Grosfeld House- where legendary designers Lorin Jackson and Vladimir Kagan got their start- in America, circa 1945. The console tables feature pentagonal tops with inset antiqued and beveled mirror; fluted bodies and rectangular tiered bases all in black lacquer. Stylized scroll motifs flank the body, and there are carved neoclassical ionic column detailing on the front of the base. These console tables- by one of America's great midcentury producers- represents the sublime fusion of classicism and modernism. Consequently, they would be a stunning addition to any style of interior from Art Deco to contemporary. They have been restored to mint condition.

American, circa 1945
