About
This sophisticated and dynamic pair of lounge chairs was produced by the esteemed French maker Airborne, circa 1970. They feature button back upholstery on every facet of the chair surrounded by lustrous white fiberglass surrounds with piping in the same color and material. Circumscribing its perimeter. They sit on circular (and sculptural) polished chrome bases. These lounge chairs look like they were plucked from the set of Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey", offering the bold, yet refined, and futuristic aesthetic that design collectors of this period absolutely adore. They have been newly reupholstered in smoked platinum velvet and are in mint restored condition. France, circa 1970.
