About

This dramatic and refined pair of Art Deco gueridon tables were realized in France, circa 1930. They feature two tiers of round granite tops circumscribed by bronze which is inscribed throughout with vertical striations. They are supported by scrolling arms that rest on lion claw feet with acanthus detailing above ascending up the legs. The bowed legs are adjoined via a tripartite stretcher with a pomme de pin form in the center surrounded by flowering rose petals all in bronze. The two tiers make them ideal as side/end tables for presenting any number of precious objects. With its neoclassically inspired motifs and sculptural presence, this table reads as simultaneously very much of the Art Deco period and perennially modern. It would thus be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary. It is in excellent condition.
