Originally used as a theater sconce circa 1935, this refined Art Deco fixture features a half dome shaped body forged in lustrous polished nickel sitting atop a skyscraper style frosted glass base composed of three tiers. The glass steps are secured with rivets capped with nickel orbs. When turned on, not only does light radiate from the bulb behind the nickel shade, but the frosted glass base illuminates as well, which produces a stunning effect. This fixtures exemplifies the simple elegance of Art Deco style in America at its best. Owing to its austere form and luxe materials, this sconce would be a perfect addition to practically any style of interior from the classical to the ultra modern. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition.
