This dynamic and sophisticated wall sculpture was designed and handblown in Murano, Italy by the esteemed atelier of Angelo Brotto in 1972. It features an abundance of protuberant coral-like forms- in alternating white, translucent and opalescent emanating outwards from a translucent glass sheet with rounded corners and a frosted center. This piece embodies the verve, élan and impeccable quality that discerning collectors of first rate Mid Century Modern Italian glass prize. While it would clearly be a perfect fit for a beach house, its bold modernist forms and neutral palate make it equally well suited for a metropolitan interior as well. It is signed and dated "Brotto '72" in the bottom left hand corner. Excellent condition.
