This outstanding Art Deco Directoire style book-matched exotic rosewood and amboyna wood sideboard features a bow fronted design on a plinth base, the cabinet doors have a sweeping curvature that tapers out at the end making the centre of the sideboard its deepest part, they each have two adjustable interior shelves per cabinet. The centre section of the sideboard has a wide cabinet beneath two drawers, the lockable cabinet door has a fine inlaid holly design and includes the original key. The top of the cabinet is Emperador marble and the pulls are a streamlined Machine Age strap design in polished nickel. It is restored to mint condition. A great example of the best of the Art Deco movement in France.
