This Mid-Century Modernist earth-toned ceramic and walnut table lamp was designed by Aldo Londi and handmade in Italy by the esteemed maker Bitossi for Raymond, circa 1960. A subtly conical hand-rubbed walnut base supports a ceramic body composed a mosaic of earth-tone ceramic hand wrought strips painted in varying earth tone hues of patinated copper green, rust and bark brown. The piece offers a rich patina throughout. With its organic modern aesthetic, this sophisticated lamp would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. The fixture is equipped with brass fittings and a single A19 socket. It comes fitted with a custom shade. This piece has been completely rewired and is in excellent condition.
