This elegant Mid-Century Modern table lamp was realized by the legendary maker Orrefors in Sweden, circa 1950. It features a cylindrical translucent glass body that tapers at its top sitting on a tiered square black enamel base with rounded edges. Additionally, there are biased striations in frosted glass running across the body of the piece and a stylized female figure suggestive of a 1930s Art Deco "flapper" with a fluttering skirt who appears in the midst of dancing. There are brass fittings throughout. With its beautiful attention to detail and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The piece comes fitted with a custom lamp shade.
