About

This dramatic and graphic pair of table lamps were realized in the United States, circa 1950. They feature circular black enamel bases with lustrous brass centers. A black enamel rod ascends from the center, wrapped in the middle with a protuberant brass form with tapered ends. Below it a scattering of rods emanate outwards, capped on the ends by spherical points. The lamps are secured with brass conical finials with ball ends that reiterate the form of the "jacks" inspired rods exploding outwards from the bodies. With their whimsical and sophisticated forms, and clean modernist lines, these table lamps would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and come fitted with custom shades. Excellent condition.
