About

This elegant mirror was realized in the United States, circa 1950. It features an arch form body of giltwood with curvilinear and architectonic detailing; beveled gilded edges; and neoclassical motifs in reverse églomisé. Three female figures perched atop an giant clam shell adorn the top of the mirror- one holds a tea cup, another a bouquet of flowers and the third a bowl of fruit- all set against an opaque emerald hued body. Additionally, there are floral and foliate motifs throughout and basketweave detailing at the top and bottom of the mirror. On each side panel, two women are depicted dancing holding garlands of flowers in each hands. With its striking palate of emerald green and brilliant gold, and neoclassical motifs, this piece would be a striking touch to virtually any interior. Excellent condition.
