Art Deco Black Lacquer and Antiqued Mirror Console Table by Grosfeld House
Art Deco Black Lacquer and Antiqued Mirror Console Table by Grosfeld House
This stunning and elegant console table was realized by the illustrious maker Grosfeld House- where legendary designer Lorin Jackson got their start- in America, circa 1945. The console table features a pentagonal top with inset antiqued and beveled mirror; a fluted body and rectangular tiered base all in black lacquer. Stylized scroll motifs flank the body, and there are carved neoclassical ionic column detailing on the front of the base. This console table- by one of America's great midcentury producers- represents the sublime fusion of classicism and modernism. Consequently, it would be a stunning addition to any style of interior from Art Deco to contemporary. It has been restored to mint condition.
