This stunning Art Deco occasional table in bookmatched burled walnut was realized in France circa 1935. It features a circular walnut base that supports an S-form body composed of two seamlessly adjoined streamlined forms, each with a circular shelf in the midpoint of each curve, nestled into the concavity of the streamlined supports. The top features intricate starburst marquetry consisting of geometric segments of inlaid walnut and burled carpathian elm, that beautifully showcases the inherent grain of the wood.
