Art Deco Occasional Table in Bookmatched Zebrawood with Walnut & Elm Marquetry
This sophisticated Art Deco table was realized in France circa 1930. It features an x form base with streamlined supports and an octagonal top (formed from a square with cut corners)- all in beautiful bookmatched zebrawood showcasing a dramatic natural grain. A square elm pendant occupies the center of the zebrawood top with an ovoid form creating in walnut in its center. At the heart of this oval form is an eight sided ellipsoid form with streamlined sides separated by marquetry striations in walnut.
