This gorgeous Mid-Century modernist Brass and Lacquered Viridian Goatskin Ice Bucket is by the esteemed artist and designer Aldo Tura, originating from Italy, Circa 1970. Features a beautiful profile slightly wider at the base giving an excellent sense of stability, then tapering upwards with two rounded brass handles on either side of the Ice Bucket. The surface of the piece is covered in a viridian green lacquered goat skin with gorgeous natural texturing beautifully balanced with the shine of the polished brass handles and lid. The lid has a rounded handle also covered in Lacquered Goatskin. Aldo Tura is well known for his creative use of materials including Lacquered Goatskin and often used the material to cover pieces and lend a natural brilliance to his accessories and furniture pieces. This Viridian Green hue utilized in the Ice Bucket can be seen on other pieces as well as deep browns, blues, and violets.
