Mid Century Modern Double Ceramic Teapot by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand
Mid Century Modern Double Ceramic Teapot by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand
This refined Mid Century Modern Scandinavian double teapot was realized by the esteemed Gunnar Nylund for Rorstrand in Sweden circa 1960. It features an ceramic stoneware teapot with a spout and curved handle onto which another domed teapot with a cylindrical spout (and a curved handle) sit- all in a beautiful ochre earthenware ceramic with a rich glaze. Realized by one of the great ceramic studios (and designers) of the period, this piece has the organic form and depth of character that discerning collectors of Mid Century Scandinavian design objects (and ceramics) absolutely adore. While this is a perfectly functional teapot, it is also an objet d'art that promises to beautify any surface that it graces. It is signed on the base "G.N. Sverige" with Rorstrand's proprietary mark. It is in excellent vintage condition.
