This stunning Mid-Century Modernist Pale Blue Hand-Blown Glass Dish with Bullicante Detailing signed Daum originates from France, Circa 1960. Daum, founded in 1878 by Jean Daum has been known since it's conception and to this day for producing glasswork in a wide array of styles and materials, all among the highest quality in the world and highly coveted and preserved. This piece features a substantial undulating lip achieved with four subtle depressions in the glass achieved while the material is still heated, beautifully smooth and precisely executed. The Bullicante detailing, Italian for "full of bubbles" expands from the center in lovely spirals of evenly dispersed elements, adding detail and rewarding prolonged viewing and appreciation.
