This stunning and graphic club chair was realized in the United States, circa 1950. It features an open U-Form back, gently domed seat and straight conical legs in ebonized walnut. It has been newly reupholstered in woven sapphire and platinum fabric consisting of concentric squares bisected by lines in black (the background) hue. The pattern of the fabric recalls the concentric square works by Frank Stella, and offer a dynamic geometric counterpoint to the curvilinear form of the piece. This chair offers the clean and sophisticated lines that discerning collectors of Mid-Century Modern design cherish. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior. Mint restored condition.
