This graphic and refined set of four chairs were realized in France circa 1950 by the esteemed Robert Guillerme & Jacques Chambron. The duo of Guillerme and Chambron- as well as their company, Votre Maison- denote a landmark of French mid-century design history. Their focus was as keenly attuned to functionality as to the creation of innovative design. These chairs are a stunning testament to their practice. They feature angular legs (suggestive of their contemporary Jean Prouve) with exposed wooden circular rivets- all executed in a beautiful handrubbed oak. With their inimitable design aesthetic, realized by two of the century's greats, and refined color palate, these chairs would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly reupholstered in an off white Holly Hunt bouclé, and restored to mint condition.
