Mid Century Modern Walnut, Brass & Rattan Dresser by T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings
This refined and elegant Mid Century Modern dresser was designed by the celebrated T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings and handmade in Grand Rapids, Michigan circa 1950. Sitting on conical brass legs with circular bases, this stunning rectilinear sideboard was executed in a beautiful handrubbed walnut. It features six drawers- offering a wealth of storage possibilities- that open via rattan wrapped cylindrical pulls with brass ends. A study in the beautiful and timeless appeal of understated design, this piece appears as contemporary today as when it was created nearly seventy years ago. With its neutral palate and clean modernist lines, it would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century to contemporary. It has been restored to mint condition.
