The glass top rests in a rectilinear plane of bookmatched walnut with the wood grain running vertically, achieving a lovely texture and cementing the scale in relationship to the nature of the walnut, simultaneously radiating with both vertical and horizontal movement. The base is sculpturally stunning, with two convex rounded shards swooping downwards to meet a tiered skyscraper style base which matches the curves of the supporting elements and elevates the supports from the ground.
