Art Deco Czech Smoked Sapphire Perfume Atomizer with Floral Motifs
Art Deco Czech Smoked Sapphire Perfume Atomizer with Floral Motifs
This stunning Art Deco perfume atomizer was handcrafted in Czechoslovakia, circa 1930. Composed of a blown and hand pressed glass faceted body in a beautiful translucent sapphire hue, this atomizer/ decorative object offers a stylized floral rose motif in frosted cobalt glass in relief. Additionally, the piece features a black fabric covered squeeze ball with tassels, which offers a nice tonal juxtaposition to the blue glass of the vessel. Czechoslovakia was renowned for producing some of the finest glass products from the era, and these pieces are testaments to that quality, representing especially fine examples of the time and place. While this are perfectly functional objects, ideal for storing perfume, it is also an objet d'art in its own right, promising to beautify any surface that it graces. It is in excellent vintage condition.
