Art Deco Streamlined Dining/Game Table in Translucent Glass and Black Lacquer
Art Deco Streamlined Dining/Game Table in Translucent Glass and Black Lacquer
This stunning Art Deco Machine Age game/ dining table was realized in the United States circa 1935 It features a beveled lustrous black lacquer base that supports four streamlined translucent streamlined glass forms that ascend upwards and fan out elegantly supporting the top- a square pane of clear glass. The design looks both completely Art Deco and avant garde, influencing and foreshadowing modernist design that would come later in the 20th century (designers such as Shiro Kuramata, for instance). As a result, this piece is not only stunning but incredibly versatile ranging with any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary, and everything in between. It is in excellent vintage condition.
