Mid-Century Modernist Floor Lamp in Chrome & Polished Brass by Cedric Hartman

Mid-Century Modernist Floor Lamp in Chrome & Polished Brass by Cedric Hartman
This stunning Mid-Century Modernist Floor Lamp by Cedric Hartman is a beautiful example of the heights of Mid-Century Modernist design, skilfully executed in the highest quality materials, originating from the United States in 1979. Featuring a curved cylinder of chrome leading to the shade and base rendered in stunning polished brass, the innovative design draws on geometric and skyscraper style influences of the Art Deco era with the streamline and minimal quality of Mid-Century design. The base is particularly remarkable, featuring stacked tiers of brass leading to a gracefully tapered element from which the chrome cylinder emerges. Playing with center of gravity and balance, Hartman's designs are meticulously explored and refined across the series of lamps from which this Floor Lamp is a rare and notable piece. This floor lamp will style beautifully in a wide array of interiors and movements, from Art Deco to Mid-Century and Contemporary spaces. Newly rewired to American Standards, this piece is in Excellent Vintage condition.
