This elegant and understated Mid-Century Modern chandelier was realized in Italy, circa 1970. It features a volumetric rectangular body consisting of a hollow cylindrical hand blown translucent Murano glass elements- with an incised geometric texture in relief surrounding a frosted glass bottom plate. The chandelier is fitted with a cylindrical polished chrome finial, and chrome fittings throughout. With its clean modernist lines and exquisite craftsmanship (created by artisans in Murano), this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The fixture accommodates three candelabra based bulbs offering up to 180 watts of light.
