This elegant and mysterious Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Chandelier by Mazzega originates from Italy, Circa 1970. Features hand-blown oval shaped mottled glass shades. Each is translucent with lovely textural variation. Each shade has an abstract swirl of smoked amethyst glass applied while the element is still hot, creating a dynamic moment and beautiful contrast of value and detail across the fixture. The shades are convex, hugging inwards achieving an elegant and organic composition and diffusing light across each graduated tier of glass. Hangs from a polished chrome canopy and chain with height that can be adjusted to suit. Newly rewired to American Standards, this piece takes 3 candelabra base bulbs achieving up to 180 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
