This elegant and glamorous 1940s Hollywood Regency shadowbox mirror was realized in the United States circa 1945. It features a sculptural silhouette consisting of an abundance of amorphic subtly scalloped abstract overlapping forms secured by translucent glass florets to create a serifed border- all in plain mirror. The interior of the piece offers a rectangular border with chain bevel detail that surrounds the plain mirror center. With its ebullient and graphic form, impeccable attention to detail and clean modernist lines, this mirror would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Art Deco to contemporary, and will undoubtedly be of special interest to discerning collectors of first rate 1940s Hollywood pieces.
