This exquisite Mid-Century Modern Venetian glass mirror was realized in Italy circa 1950. It features a rectangular body composed of three tiers of adjoined rectangular segments secured by florets at each corner and a beautiful plain mirror center. The rectangular segments are inscribed with etched stylized floral detailing and chain beveling. The piece is crowned with a prominent stylized foliate cartouche (with miniature etched floral detailing) bookended by scroll form embellishments on either side culminating in more foliate form mirrored pieces on each end. With its monochromatic palate, fastidious attention to detail and clean modernist lines, this piece is as versatile as it is stunning. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
