This stunning Mid-Century Modern brass sconce was realized in France, circa 1950. It features stylized interpretations of a cobra snake offering sinuously curved cylindrical forms that taper to its tale representing the slithering silhouette of the serpent. The head represents an ovoid form- anatomically representative of the cobra's head with a stylized face all rendered in lustrous brass. At once whimsical and sophisticated, this sconce is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling.
