Mid-Century Modern Glass & Antique Nickel Sconce in the Manner of Fontana Arte

This graphic and sophisticated wall sconce was realized in Italy, circa 1960, in the manner of Fontana Arte. It features five glass shades with a rectangular body replete with a subtle rectilinear etched pattern on the surface that affix to a curved antique nickel support at the top of the frame. The glass shades descend at an angle where they neatly tuck in to a pentagonally sided antique nickel finial with a zig-zag pattern at its apex. Full of verve and élan, this sconce embodies the vibrant personality of Italian Mid-Century Modern design at its finest. Its clean lines and impeccable construction promise to be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic midcentury to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition.
