This dynamic and incredibly formed Mid-Century Brutalist "Raindrops" Wall Sculpture in Brass is Signed Curtis Jere and originates from the United States, Circa 1970. Features an open framework in cylindrical brass elements and wiring that support welded cut out disks of brass in a stimulating variety of finishes and surface qualities. An array of varying sizes and reflective qualities stimulate the eye and float from their wire supports in a brilliant dance of positive and negative space, emerging from the supporting surface in a highly organic and natural arrangement. Along with the flattened brass disks are polished brass dome formed elements, adding to the material contrasts within the sculpture and dancing with reflections of ambient light when viewed at a variety of angles. Designed to serve as gallery level pieces, this is one of the finest examples of the works by Curtis Jere, and bears a signature denoting the maker on the left most brass element. This sculpture is a true gem, styling brilliantly in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Brutalist and Contemporary Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
