This graphic and casually elegant table lamp was realized in the United States, circa 1950. If features a sculptural body composed of unfinished driftwood resting on a amorphic stylized "S" form handrubbed walnut base. Ascending from the driftwood body is a bronze cylindrical support with a beautiful patina that perfectly complements the organic aesthetic of the piece. It is secured with a spherical wood finial painted in a muted bone hue. With its striking silhouette and beautiful natural materials, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. The lamp would be a gorgeous counterpoint to a luxurious urban interior, and obviously a perfect fit for a beach or country home. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The lamp comes fitted with a custom shade.
