Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern Translucent Glass Vase by Orrefors

This elegant and understated Mid-Century Modern vase was realized by the renowned maker, Orrefors, in Sweden, circa 1960. It features to intersecting demilune forms that meet to create rectangular planes on each side. The top of the piece has been cut at a bias, sloping down at an angle. This piece represents a study in the simplicity of first rate design, appearing as timeless and compelling today as when it was created nearly 60 years ago. With its clean modernist silhouette and dynamic geometries, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling.
