Art Deco Machine Age Brushed Aluminum & Black Lacquer Torchiere by Russel Wright
This refined Art Deco Machine Age floor lamp was realized by the legendary designer Russel Wright circa 1935. It offers a brushed aluminum circular base from which a channeled cylindrical black lacquer body ascends, flaring subtly to its apex. The lacquer body attacheds to a billowing urn form shade in brushed aluminum, seperated by a translucent spherical glass detail at its neck. With its quintessentially Art Deco materials and forms, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of the period as well as those with a penchant for all things exquisite. Its clean modernist lines and monochromatic palate make this piece well suited for any style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary.
