This gorgeously achieved Mid-Century Modernist Spiral Grooved Table Lamp in Burnt Umber Ceramic originates from the United States, Circa 1960. Featuring a classical silhouette with a grooved detail and delineated base and neck, the body of the lamp features an array of spiral grooves that bend around the surface as they surround and elegantly interact with impeccable craft and care for both the textural and visual effects of the motif. Rendered a deep burnt umber hue, the light is beautifully absorbed in shadow with a matte surface while more illuminated, adding to the visual depth and form of the piece. Fitted with a custom velum shade, this lamp is newly rewired to American Standards and accommodates one Edison base bulb achieving up to 100 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
