Mid-Century Open Form White Ceramic Table Lamp with Woven Sculptural Motifs
This materially exquisite Mid-Century Modernist Open Form White Ceramic Table Lamp W/Woven Sculptural Motif Manner of Tony Duquette originates from the United States, Circa 1980. This sophisticated piece embodies mid-century modernist principles merged with sculptural artistry, evoking the dramatic design sensibilities of Tony Duquette. The open-form structure, crafted in pristine white ceramic, showcases an intricate woven motif that blends organic fluidity with geometric precision. Its sculptural quality adds depth and movement, making the lamp both a functional lighting fixture and an artistic centerpiece.
The base of the lamp is finished in black lacquer, with a rounded element of woven ceramic that expands and then returns inwards as it rises, with a separately formed ceramic element that rises and ends in an open basket form, seeming to catch the light from beneath the shade, lending beautiful shadows and depth to the form. Fitted with a custom shade with perfect proportions, this lamp will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, this lamp accommodates two edison base bulbs achieving up to 200 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
