This gorgeous pair of sconces were hand blown in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. They are composed of billowing semi-translucent glass shades with a subtle iridescent quality- created by a wealth of 24-karat gold flecks- replete with an abundance of murines inlaid into the glass. They attach to the wall via a square backplate with a streamlined and reeded brass arm that extends to the shade. Made by one of the most storied lighting ateliers in Italy, these sconces are as versatile as they are stunning, blending perfectly with any style of decor from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They are in excellent condition.
